Según la página especializada en vídeo juegos de IGN las mejoras de WWE ´12 complementan y hacen de el un gran juego que usa bases de lo que fue el aclamado titulo para Nintento 64 WWF No Mercy. IGN lo coloca entre los 15 mejores juegos de año calificando estos últimos meses como uno de los mejores en la historia de los vídeo juegos. El juego fue calificado con un 9.0 sobre diez por los editores de la pagina.
